Meta Muse vs Instinct

These two are the poles of the 2026 assistant market. Muse has distribution and no depth of follow-through. Instinct has depth and almost no distribution, because it is invite-only. Most people end up able to use one and wanting the other.

Meta Muse

  • Strength: it is already in the app you use, free, and instant on small questions.
  • Weakness: it answers more than it finishes, and it lives inside an advertising business.
  • Availability: US-first, partial in Europe.

Instinct

  • Strength: genuinely ambitious scope. Early users had it booking travel and clearing email in week one.
  • Weakness: invite-only, terms that allow it to act without asking, and a perpetual licence to your materials.
  • Availability: invite from an existing member. No public timeline.

Where Norma sits

Norma takes Muse's interface, Instinct's ambition, and neither one's trade-off. She lives in iMessage and WhatsApp. She handles long tasks and keeps chasing until they are done. She asks before she sends or spends, never says done until it is verified, does not train on your data, and works in the EU.

And you can get in. There is a public line, and a new batch joins every Friday, in order.
